Abdur Rauf Khatana holds MA in Philosophy from the University of Peshawar (Pak) and LLM in International Human Rights Law, Conflict and Justice from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (UK). He is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Law at International Islamic University Islamabad and pursing his Ph. D dissertation on the Critical Legal Analysis of the United Nations’ Human Rights Enforcement Mechanisms. He has served as consultant with the Islamabad chapters of ICRC,The Asia Foundation, SHARP, LFVOK and many other organizations.
He takes keen interest/ remains involved in research, teaching and trainings pertaining to the protection and enforcement of Human Rights in Pakistan. Beside teaching at IIU and other Law Schools in Islamabad he supervises research students in the various fields of International Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
