Muhammad Aftab Alam – Chief Executive Officer
Muhammad Aftab Alam is a law and policy expert with more than twenty years of work experience in the fields of rule of law, right to information and transparency, freedom of expression and media development, and governance and legislative reforms. He has been part of the efforts to forge multi-stakeholder alliances and networks.
Dr. Amir Mustafa– Research Fellow
Dr Amir Mustafa is a development policy and research expert with an experience of more than 21 years. He got his doctorate degree in economics and MPhil degree in International Development Studies. He has worked for various national, regional and international organisations.
Abdur Rauf Khatana – Research Associate / Expert on International Human Rights Law
Abdur Rauf Khatana holds MA in Philosophy from the University of Peshawar (Pak) and LLM in International Human Rights Law, Conflict and Justice from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (UK).
Varsha Arora – Associate
Varsha Arora holds a post graduate degree in Digital Marketing from the UK and MSc Mass Communication from National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad with a gold medal. Ms. Arora joined IRADA in October 2020 as Advocacy and Research Officer.
Syeda Kashmala – Associate
Syeda Kashmala is a lawyer and a media producer, based in Islamabad, specializing in pro-bono cases concerning women’s rights, rape, marital and domestic abuse. She is a founder of Aain foundation, working to ensure the delivery of justice and access to fundamental rights to all.
Salwa Rana – Programme Manager
Salwa Rana is a law graduate and a development professional with over five years’ worth of experience in digital rights, media development, free speech, and online gender-based violence. A graduate of the University of London, she started her career in the corporate sector.
Rahemeen Fatima – Program Officer
Rahemeen Malik is a dedicated researcher with a profound commitment to understanding the intersection of gender and climate change. With a strong academic background and hands-on experience in both fields, she has contributed significantly to the discourse on how gender dynamics influence and are influenced by climate-related issues.
Muhammad Khalid Ibadullah- Finance & Admin Manager
Muhammad Khalid Ibadullah has more than 15 years of experience of managing finance and accounts for various commercial and non-profit organizations. Mr. Khalid holds a MS Finance Degree and also completed a Master in Economics.
Muhammad Zia Ullah Khan – Admin & Accounts Officer
Muhammad Zia Ullah Khan is a graduate from International Islamic University with experience of more than 10 years in Logistics Operations, Procurement, Accounting and Administrative support. Currently, he is working with Institute for Research, Advocacy and Development as an Admin & Accounts Officer.
